In the metalworking industry, magnetic sheet separators, also called sheet spreader magnets, ensure the safe and undamaged magnetic separation of sheets from the metal sheet pile, preventing the simultaneous removal of two sheets.

Magnetic Sheet Separators are located on the side of the sheet pile and direct a magnetic flux to the sheets resulting in magnetization of the sheets which then causes the sheets to repel each other. The top sheet is separated from the lower sheets and makes it easy to transport safely. When the upper sheet is removed, the lower sheet rises immediately. Sheet separators are successfully used to separate sheets both manually and automatically (with pneumatic system).
